Booking Policy

This policy explains how to arrange an appointment with Brickstead Works, what happens after you submit an enquiry and how payment arrangements are confirmed before your brickwork project begins.

We aim to make arranging brickwork services straightforward. Every project is discussed individually so that the required work, costs, appointment arrangements and payment details are clear before the service is confirmed.

1. Making an Appointment Enquiry

You can submit an appointment enquiry through our website contact form, by telephone or by email. Please provide the following details where possible:

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Your property postcode or location.
  • The type of brickwork service you require.
  • A brief description of the work involved.
  • Your preferred appointment date and time.
  • Photographs of the affected brickwork, if available.

Providing clear information helps us understand your requirements and decide what further details may be needed.

2. Reviewing Your Requirements

After receiving your enquiry, we will review the information provided and contact you to discuss the proposed work.

Depending on the project, we may ask for additional photographs, measurements or further information. A site visit may also be arranged where a closer assessment is needed.

We will confirm whether the requested work is suitable for our services and discuss the next steps with you.

3. Quotations and Service Details

Before an appointment is confirmed, we will discuss the proposed work and provide the relevant pricing information.

Depending on the project, this may include:

  • The areas of brickwork to be repaired or worked on.
  • The proposed repair approach and materials.
  • The agreed service price and any applicable additional costs.
  • The expected duration of the work, where known.
  • The proposed appointment or start date.

Any additional work identified during the assessment will be discussed with you separately. It will only be included once the revised scope and cost have been agreed.

4. Booking Confirmation

A submitted enquiry or preferred appointment date does not automatically confirm a booking.

Once the service details, quotation and appointment arrangements have been discussed and agreed, we will contact you to confirm the booking.

Please check the agreed details carefully and let us know if any information needs correcting before the work is scheduled.

5. Payment Methods and Arrangements

Payment is arranged separately after your project requirements and appointment details have been discussed.

Once the booking arrangements have been confirmed, we will provide the available payment methods and relevant payment instructions separately. These details will explain how to make payment, the amount due and any applicable payment deadline.

Any deposit, advance payment or staged payment will be explained and agreed with you before payment is requested. No payment is required simply to submit an initial enquiry.

Where a payment is made, appropriate confirmation or a receipt will be provided.

Please note: Payment information is supplied separately once the service and booking arrangements have been discussed. Please refer to the instructions provided for your individual project.

6. Changes to Your Appointment

If you need to change your preferred appointment date or time, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will do our best to arrange an alternative appointment that suits both parties, subject to availability.

If the scope of the work changes, we may need to review the quotation and appointment arrangements before proceeding.

7. Access and Preparation

Before the agreed appointment, please make sure that reasonable access to the relevant working area is available.

Where practical, move garden furniture, vehicles or personal belongings away from the immediate work area.

If access arrangements are likely to be difficult, please let us know in advance so that we can discuss suitable arrangements.

8. Delays and Weather Conditions

Brickwork repairs can be affected by weather, site access and material availability. Certain work may need suitable conditions to be carried out properly.

If conditions make it unsuitable to proceed, we will contact you to explain the situation and discuss an alternative date.

We will also let you know if unexpected site conditions are likely to affect the agreed schedule.

9. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an appointment, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Where practical, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.

Any applicable cancellation charges or refund arrangements will be explained in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable consumer law.

For further information, please refer to our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

10. Customer Information

Information provided during the booking process is used to review your requirements, communicate with you and arrange the requested services.

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection requirements.

11. Questions About Your Booking

If you have any questions about an enquiry, quotation, appointment or payment arrangement, please get in touch before confirming the work.

We will be happy to clarify the relevant details and help you understand the next steps.
